Grid Infrastructure Services
Grid Infrastructure Services will design and implement a Grid based on
existing and proposed resources based on assessment, design and
implementation services.
Assessment Service
The Assessment Service confirms business or project objectives,
assesses the existing architecture and identifies current or potential
bottlenecks. Grid Gateway consultants conduct interviews with members
of your staff and create a report that details the key issues in your
current environment, bottlenecks, and suggested areas of improvement.

- Data or other if applicable
- Security requirements
- Areas of focus to enhance existing architecture
- Gaps, risks and recommendations
Design Service
The Design Service provides Grid architectural design specifications
to create or enhance your current compute environment. The
architectural design is based on proven methodologies and best
practices to minimize risk and speed deployment. We use information
gathered during the Assessment Service and consultations taking into
account project objectives, budget and organizational goals.
During the design phase, Grid Gateway will work with you to define the
policies for the workload management system (Sun Grid Engine or
Platform LSF). Policy decisions are based on application mix, how many
people or projects will share the Grid, and other priorities
determined during the Assessment phase.

- Proposed implementation schedule
Implementation Service
The Implementation Service installs, configures and tests the products
specified during the Design Service phase. The implementation could be
a complete installation and configuration of all necessary hardware
and software, or could be limited to the configuration of the workload
management tools (Sun Grid Engine or Platform LSF). Use your company's
resources to focus on what you do best, utilize Grid Gateway's
resources to do what we do best.
